Tale of Two Sisters - I think this would be a great title for our book - July 24, 2020

Lacie and Stephanie - February 1994 - Taken during an unexpected opportunity to visit Lacie in Denver!

I do not hear from my little sister, Lacie, as often as I used to. She is not able to call as often as she did "BC"- Before COVID. They are limited in the amount of time they can spend outside of their rooms. I cannot imagine the stress of them being in a constant lockdown since May. Going outside in the fresh mountain air has not been an option either.

During our call tonight, she updated me on her medical status. She was able to FINALLY see an in-house medical provider. They have not had the ability to do so since the lockdowns began in May. The good news, the report stated that there is no sign of an abscess based on the most recent CAT Scan. The more challenging news, there are new growths on her thyroid glands. This is a new discovery. An appointment with the pulmonologist is scheduled and she will be going soon.

I sent an email to her attorney asking what could be done to allow her to be considered for a medical release. I am not sure how she is going to get out of prison, however, I am confident that she will.

Oh, how I long for that day!

I am doing my best to take care of myself and deal with my own medical challenges - another "BC" - Breast Cancer. My hope is that we can make some amazing memories together once she is released. And then, I am hopeful that she will be able to pursue some of the treatments I have been able to do!

I have completed two months of a cancer protocol that is based on the circulating tumor cells that have been found in my body. Additionally, I have completed 3 of the 6 antigen injections that were designed to attack and kill the tumor that was discovered in my body. We will know more about my status and where things stand with me at the end of August.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers and continue to praise God for the plans He has.
